Schmidt: Stratigies for Writing a Impromtu on a Book You Didnt Read
In this instructable I will be giving instructions on how to be successful in a english class that assigned book to be read, while not reading them.
There are no real requirements save whatever you are writing with and a book you are going to not read.

In Class
The first way to be success without reading is to pay attention in class. I know this may seem silly, but you can actually learn nearly everything you need to know about a book just by listening and pretending to be interested in the in class discussions. If you feel like there is something you haven't yet picked up, goad your teacher into discussing it. This can be done simply by asking the teacher waht THEIR thoguhts on the section was, or stating that you don't really feel like you grip the section.
Out of Class.
When you are out of class, yet still at school, there are many ways to gain more knowledge. The most effective way I find is to approach a friend and ask them all about what happened. This may seem cheap and foolish, yet if you have a friend who is already reading the book, it simply seems efficient to have them read it for the both of you, you know, to save time. If you don't have a friend who is actualyl reading it, comparing notes with another "slacker" like yourself can also bring beneficts, as they might ahve picked up on something that you did not during class.
The Improntu Forwarning.
Many times The teacher will give warnings and hints as to what the improntu will be about, and knowing these give you the utmost advantage. This will allow you to focus the gathering of knowledge to a particular topic, thus allowing you to gain the facts you need, without those useless other things that may only confuse the reader.
Actual Writing.
Now this is the time you have been preparing for, the moment where you prove to the rest of the class that their reading of the book and wasting hours of their time on something that will be of no help to them in but of few weeks does NOT give them a better chance at writing. The order you should go about writing your essay should be starting at the front, with the title/author/focus (TAF). Then you should move into your thesis statement, which is where you list three points that support your stance, based on the question your teacher assigns.
Body
Writing the body should be the easiest part, if you were successful in your gathering of the informant facts. Your body should include three many paragraphs, each based off one of your thesis statement points. A "improntu" improntu writer's ace in the hole for making assumptions or blatant statements in this form of writing is the use of the crediting " Some Critics Say..." then insert your fact or statement, and it has become true, even if you yourself ARE that critic.
Conclusion
The conclusion is one of the hardest parts for a person who did not read the book, but is also usually worth less points then the rest. The conclusion should begin with the restatement of your thesis statement, and followed up by the summing up of your body paragraphs. the difficult part comes where one is expected to link these somehow to the book, but if you are clever you will find a way.
