Zodiac Mandala Series - 1 | Leisure Space

In this Series I had painted Zodiac Mandala for Leo, Aquarius and Pisces. I had created this on 300 gsm paper. I had incorporated Zodiac's Elements, Symbols and constellations into the pattern.

Zodiac Mandala - Pisces

Step 1: The Radius of the whole circle is 5 cms and the inner radius of the circle is 2.5 cms. I had painted inner circle with white and outer layer with black. I'm creating galaxy kind of blend in the inner circle

Step 2: Based on the color palette on the left I have designed this mandala. Lining the inner circle with yellow color shade and on the 7 corners Im creating fish kind of pattern to represent Pisces

Step 3: Filling the fish patterns with swooshes and dots

Step 4: For the rest of the blank area Im filling with petal mandala patterns and swooshes

Step 5: Now creating fins for the fishes and filling the remaining blank area with teal color shade

Step 6: Completing the mandala by drawing the Pisces constellation in the center

Step 1: As earlier created galaxy theme for the inner circle based on the color palette on the right and outlined the inner circle with yellow and teal color. Since Aquarius represents water bearer here i had created pot like structure

Step 2: In the gaps between the pot patterns am creating petal like pattern and filling the extra space with blush color

Step 3: Inside the pot Im creating two more shades of orange and creating diamond shape inside in teal color to represent water. Swooshes on the outer end of the pot to create water flowing effect

Step 4: Creating the border with blush and yellow color

Step 5: Finishing the mandala with Aquarius constellation

Step 1: Based on the color palette I had created Galaxy theme in the inner circle. Since Leo represents sun and fire I had created this galaxy theme based on orange color. I had created 8 mini circles on all the corners

Step 2: The pattern between the circles represt sun's rays . Later on I had changed the sun rays and circle color to another shade

Step 3: Filling the sun rays pattern with various dots and swooshes. Later on swooshes color was also changed

Step 4: Inside the circle Im creating fire symbol

Step 5: Finishing off the mandala with Leo constellation in the centre
