Iron Interfacing

  • Iron interfacing onto the backside of your front pieces. Remember the sticky side of interfacing has the raised dots. The dotted side needs to be against the fabric so that the glue dots will stick to the fabric.

  1. Select your embroidery transfer.
  2. Trace pattern piece 1 face down onto your front piece that measures 10" x 10"
  3. Position transfer face down.
  4. With the iron heated to the hottest setting, press it firmly down and onto the transfer. DO NOT move it around too much. If your transfer is large, lift the iron and place it over another section. You can peak underneath to see if it worked.

Embroidery

  • Use an embroidery hoop to hold your fabric

  • Use 3 strands of embroidery floss for embroidery.

  • Do not cut your thread longer than arms length

  • Use the Back Stitch method for most of your embroidery, with a satin stitch to fill in objects. French knots make great eyes and dots.
