This project is about to build wireless charger that based on mutual induction.
Requirements
- 1nf capacitor
- 470pf cap.
- 224nf cap.
- 4.7nf cap.
- 100pf cap.
- 10k resistor
- Bd135 transistor
- Breadboard
- 10mm led
- Mobile charging pin
- Some wires
- 4 diode 1N4007
Build Transmitter Coil
- Put a tape on hard surface, make sure the sticky surface of tape is on top.
- Take a wire and make loops on the tape.
- Open the wire terminal after 8 loop that is tapping of coil.
- You can see the A, B and C terminal on coil.
- A and C is outer terminal of coil and B is tapping.
Build Receiving Coil
- Take a thin wire.
- Make 24 loop of the wire.
- Make bridge rectifier form diode.
- Connect ends of coil at input of rectifier.
- Connect a Led at output of rectifier.
Circuit Diagram
Here is circuit diagram of Transmitter and receiving coil.
Let's make it on Breadboard.
Breadboard Connections
- Put BD135 in Breadboard as in picture.
- Connect 10k resistor in between base and free terminal on Breadboard.
- Connect 1nf capacitor parallel to resistor.
- Connect 4.7nf capacitor in between collector and free terminal.
- Connect 470pf capacitor in between emitter and base.
- Connect 100pf capacitor in between emitter and another free terminal.
- Connect A terminal of Transmitter coil to resistor.
Connect B terminal of Transmitter coil to 100pf capacitor
Connect C terminal of Transmitter coil to collector.
Take power source and connect positive terminal to B terminal of coil and negative to emitter.
Test the Circuit
Connect circuit via power source
Put receiving coil on Transmitter coil then LED will glow.
Once LED glow now we have to connect charging pin.
Connect Charging Pin
Once led glows then remove it...
Remove extra wire on bridge rectifier.
Connect a 220pf capacitor to the output terminal of rectifier.
Connect a charging pin to the output terminal of rectifier.
Packaging
Cover receiving coil via white paper. It looks better
Put Transmitter coil on a round box and cover it via white paper.
Cool all done..
All Done
The voltage is sufficient at receiving coil but the current is not sufficient do your mobile it indicates it charging but actually it is not charging....
This is better for school and college projects to understand the concept of wireless charging as well as concept of mutual induction.
