Wine Box Into a DIY Seed Storage Box

Hi Instructables! I hope you're having a great day! For those who love gardening, I am sure you will enjoy this project. I am sharing with you a super easy DIY where I reuse an old wine box and upcycled it into a seed storage box!

Here's the wine box I started with.

Supplies and Tools

• Wood Wine Box
• Chalk
• Scissors
• Pencil
• TSP Substitute
• Scrubby Soap
• White Chalk Mineral Paint
• Green Chalk Mineral Paint
• Paint Brush
• Floral Transfer
• Heat Gun

I started by removing the drawer and then cleaning the whole wine box with a TSP substitute.

I painted the box with two coats of pure white chalk mineral paint. The box does have some uneven spaces where you will be needing to use the tips of your paintbrush to have full coverage.

And then I dried it using a little heat using a heat gun. This made the whole drying process quick but be sure not to overdo it to avoid discoloration and bubbling.

I also painted the inside and the dividers with green chalk mineral paint.

These are the transfer I used. I cut them into sizes and then rub them onto the box.

I made a DIY Font Stencil for the lettering label.

Here is the finished look! I love how the colors pop with the pure white color. A very easy upcycle, a very beautiful floral seedbox, and a very functional seed organizer! I hope enjoyed this Wine Box Upcycle into a Diy Seed Storage Box Tutorial. Happy Gardening friends!
