Wheat Thumbprint Cookies
Super quick wheat cookies. These are made with whole wheat flour. Sweet, buttery, absolutely delicious.
Crunchy and the kids would love this super simple cookie recipe when you are low at supplies. Store it in an air tight container and it would stay for long.
Ingredients
1 cup white whole wheat flour
1 tsp cornstarch
¾ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
1 ½ tbsp unsalted butter melted and cooled slightly
1 large egg white, room temperature
1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
½ cup coconut sugar ore refined sugar
3 tablespoons Fruit jam (or any other flavour)
Whisk 1
Whisk together the butter, egg white, and vanilla.
Whisk in sugar.

Whisk in together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt
Mix
Mix it together to form a dough. Chill the dough till they can be shaped.
Prepare Filling
Prepare filling by softening the jam.
Press the centre of the balls and fill the centre with jam.
Bake
Now make balls out of the dough and place it on the greased baking tray.
Preheat the oven at 180 degree Celsius.
Bake for 15- 20 minutes. Cool the cookies on the baking tray and then transfer to the wire rack.
