I am Rowan Leatham, a rising junior (11th grade) at Judson Early College Academy.

My bridge design contains vines that grow along the supports that, given their position, will have ample sunlight and carbon dioxide. The plant species would vary depending on the location of the bridge; however, a native-growing plant would be accustomed to the conditions of the bridge which would limit the amount of outside assistance needed (ie. a complex irrigation system). This bridge would also strengthen civic life with a tranquil walkway above the road, encased in vines. My bridge design would sustain and exist along natural life without replacing it which I believe is a step in the right direction.

Build Landscape/Base

Step 1 - Build Landscape:Base.png

First, I began with a basic landscape and base bridge to help me conceptualize and materialize my ideas.

Next, I added the supports, vines, and planters. Since this is one of my first Tinkercad projects, I did all of these simultaneously because I kept going back to tweak and troubleshoot issues that I found.

Add Final Details

Step 3 - Add Final Details.png

Finally, I added the finishing details. This included the park benches, park tables, vehicles on the bridge, and more. I added these details to give my design a more finalized and realistic feel.
