Urine Test Jell-o Shots

shotswithgoodtext.jpg

Urine test Jell-o shots are a great addition to any Halloween party! I mean, why make regular Jell-o shots when you can make ones that will gross people out? :D

These urine test Jell-o shots are amazingly simple too - just make them 4-6 hours before you party!

P.S. Mikeasaurus "helped" me make them:

What You'll Need:

  • lemon Jell-o, 6 oz box
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups ice cold vodka - put it in the freezer the night before!
  • "specimen cups" with lids
  • yellow food coloring to make some "dehydrated" shots

The specimen cups I link to above are not sterile and come with no labels, but it's easy enough to wash and label them yourself. :D

This amount of Jell-o shot mix fills 20 of the 25 specimen cups if you fill them about 1/3 the way up.

Dissolve the Jell-o Powder

Dissolve the Jell-o powder in two cups of BOILING water. The water must be hot enough, or the Jell-o powder will have issues completely dissolving - that's what leads to "crunchy" Jell-o shots. :P

I use a whisk to help me out here.

Add the Vodka and Pour Into the Cups

Make sure to keep the vodka in the freezer until you're ready, then measure out two cups worth and mix it with the Jell-o. It should be nice and clear - no grit remaining!

Pour it evenly into the cups using a measuring cup - this stuff is sticky if you spill it.

Make Some Dehydrated Urine Test Shots

For extra realness, add one drop of yellow food color to some of the shots - stir it in well! See the difference one drop makes?

Let Them Chill!

3-4 hours in the fridge should be enough in most cases - but if your vodka was not chilled enough or you keep opening your fridge it will take longer. Keep that in mind!

I chilled mine with the lids on, which led to a little condensation, but I think that kinda adds to the overall effect ;)

Serve!

I think they look pretty nice in a tray of ice :D

Please post photos if you make them - I'd love to see!
