Updo
Up-do's can be for many different events. Starting with proms, homecomings, weddings, balls, or any other important events. However, many up-dos can be complicated to do. But in this step-by-step instruction, you will learn how to do an easy up-do.
Supplies
You will need all of the following items:
- Hairbrush
- Bobby Pins
- Elastics
- Clips (optional)
Brush
Using your hair brush be sure to brush all the tangles and knots out of the hair.
Start from the bottom of the hair when brushing. This will help get the knots out more efficiently.
You can use detangling spray to help get the knots out.
Section and Braid
Grab a section of hair on the front side of the head. Run your fingers through the hair creating three strands of hair.
If you need to, practice holding the three stands of hair in both hands.
Then once you are comfortable holding the three strands proceed to braid. You can do a dutch braid or french braid.
Then repeat the steps on the opposite side.
Pancake the Braids
Once you finish the braid, pull the braid loose to make the braid look bigger.
Be sure to pull on the braid gently.
Then repeat on the other side.
Section the Hair and Twist
Section the top half of the hair, and use an elastic to hold that section of hair.
Once you complete that, start by pushing your fingers in the center of the half section. Then twist the hair over and under.
Tease the Twist
Then pull the hair gently to make them more loose.
Section and Tease
Grab two small sections of hair from each side of the head. Put them together and use an elastic to hold the two sections.
Start losing the twisted strands to create a loose look.
Repeat
Repeat by grabbing sections of hair from each side of the head and twisting the sections going all the way down the head.
Reminder to pull each section of hair loose.
Finished
Enjoy your new fabulous up-do!
