Tomato Cheese Pizza - Who's Hungry
Cheese is a food derived from milk that is produced in a wide range of flavors, textures, and forms by coagulation of the milk protein casein. This may be the formal definition of cheese when you google it, but the first thing that comes up to your mind when you hear cheese is “Happiness”.
Pizza simply adds joy to your mood. So what if cheese and Pizza come together? That’s exactly what I’m gonna show you in this Instructable. This is a treat to all the classic Cheese pizza lovers, the Tomato Cheese Pizza. And the best part about this is I’ll be using homemade pizza base.
Ingredients
For this classic recipe, you’ll need :
- Pizza Base
- Cheese (Mozzarella preferred)
- Tomato (2)
- Schezwan Chutney
- Tomato Ketchup
- Chili Flakes
Prepare the Base
Before we add anything onto the base, we need to prepare it for the topping. Since this is a cheese pizza, you need to make some markings on the base and grate some cheese over it.
Now preheat the microwave oven for about 30 seconds, and bake the raw pizza base with cheese for about 1 minute. I’m using a homemade pizza base if you want to make it for yourself, visit my Instructable on how to make them.
First Layer Topping
After you pre bake the base, spread a layer of tomato ketchup on it. Now add the tomatoes over the tomato ketchup and bake it for about 30 seconds.
We do this because if we add the second layer of cheese it might overcook leading to roasting it.
Second Layer Topping
Now that the tomatoes are partially cooked, grate the remaining cheese over it and also add some Schezwan Sauce and sprinkle some chili flakes over it. Now leave the pizza to cook in the microwave for about 3 minutes.
Garnishing and Serving
Remove the pizza from the oven and check whether it’s completely cooked. If not leave it in for a few more minutes.
Garnish the pizza with a little more cheese if you want and also some chili flakes. Slice it and serve. Serve the pizza when it’s hot with some tomato ketchup for an awesome combination. It’s even better when tasted with a soft drink.
