The Party Frog

The first thing you need to do is download the 3D models from [here]. The cost is a significant value and helps keep me motivated to continue working on projects like these, which I am passionate about.

If you're already familiar with 3D printing, you can start printing right away. I achieved excellent results with the printing parameters I describe. here.

If you don't have a 3D printer yet, this would be the perfect opportunity to start. I can recommend some links and tutorials I found online. here

I recommend using two materials, PLA and TPU filament.

In Cura, for the Sapo made from PLA, use these main parameter values: Wall 2mm, Top/Bottom 2mm, no Infill necesary, Speed 70mm/s, Temp 205°C (no support necessary). For the coins made from PLA, the parameters are the same but with 100% infill. For the puzzle table, I used TPU with the following parameters: Wall 1.2mm, Top/Bottom 1.8mm, Infill 5%, Speed 70mm/s, Temp 205°C.

Note that Block 1_82 should be repeated 3 times, Block 1_72 should be repeated 2 times, and the coins 10 times.

For the walls, I recommend using cardboard with a 3mm thickness. I uploaded the background picture in a 1:1 scale and included the dimensions of the cardboard.

The pieces that make up the Frog are numerous and designed like a puzzle, allowing them to be printed on any printer. The arrangement of each piece can be recognized in the picture posted in this section.

The colors are up to you; you can customize it however you like! You can even paint the frog with acrylic paint for a better finish. Check out a tutorial on how to paint a 3D-printed piece. here.

The cardboard background has a fun design, but you can replace it with any images you like, letting your creativity run wild. Here’s the original design with the exact dimensions the cardboard should have.

For printing the image, I recommend doing it at a 1:1 scale if you have a plotter, or in A3 format in three parts if you use a compatible printer. I suggest using photographic paper! Once printed, glue it onto the cardboard with a water-free adhesive to prevent the paper from wrinkling.

Once you have your Party Frog ready, print the score sheet and follow the instructions provided to start playing.

Throw and Score: Each player will throw 10 coins, aiming to land them in the frog's mouth. The Party Frog can be placed on a table at a distance of between 2 and 3 meters.

Shout "¡Sapo!" (Spanish for "Frog") every time you land a coin in the frog's mouth! It might take a few tries to get the hang of it, so don’t get discouraged. Practice makes perfect, and once you master it, you'll love every moment of the game. If you’re not hitting the mark just yet, fine-tune your throw so that your coin sails into the mouth like a pro!

Accumulate Points: Each coin that enters the frog's mouth is worth 100 points. Coins that fall into other holes add the points indicated in those holes.

Calculate Your Score: The final score is the total sum of the points earned based on where the coins land.

Enjoy the Math! At the end, compare your score with others using the symbols > (greater than), < (less than), or = (equal to).

The player with the highest score wins!
