The Funnel Catapult
I was reading in my favorite book, "The Mischeif Maker's Manual" and I found this. It originally called for a huge funnel and 1/4" rubber tubing. So I downsized it and came up with this one.
This thing is great for shooting marbles, Altoids, coins, Barbie doll heads, etc. If it fits in the funnel should work fine, just don't shoot anything that is on fire or explodes. I apologize to my fellow pyros, but safety first.

Tools and Materials
You will need the following:
Materials
- One tiny funnel ( I went to Walmart and picked up a 5-pack )
- Two library rubber bands ( The really long ones)
- A knife or scissors
- A drill ( optional)
Preparing the Funnel
Now that you have all of the parts, it's time to prepare the funnel for the rubber bands.
In order to do this, you have to make 4 holes in the funnel.
To do that, take your knife (or drill) and place the tip about 1cm from the top and turn your knife while pressing down. Once you finish that hole, make another one 1cm below it.
Now turn the funnel 180 degrees and do the same thing.
NOTE: Your knife doesnt have to have a tip like mine, the top one of the second picture will also work.

Attaching the Rubber Bands
Now all we need to do is attach the rubber bands.
First, cut the rubber bands so they are no longer circular. Next, thread one end through the first hole you made and pull it halfway through. Then thread the end inside the funnel through the second hole. Using the other rubber band, do the same on the other side. When you are done, you should have 4 strands sticking out of the funnel.

Setup and Fire It!
Now that you are done with building it, it's time to know how to use it.
You will need something like a school desk, or a table, chair, or something like that. All you have to do is tie one side to one leg, and use a differrent leg for the other side.
Firing is easy, all you need to do is load it, pull back and let go.
