The paratha needs a similar dough that is prepared for a regualr roti bread.

First add two to three cups of wheat flour into the bowl (depends upon your requirement) then add a little amount of water and start mixing it.
There is no specific amount of water needed to add into wheat , you need to start by adding a little amount of water and mix with your hand and then add little little water to make it a proper dough. You need to add a pinch of salt during this process . If the wheat is sticky you can also add a little amount of oil to avoid this. Dough should be such that it shouldn't stick to your hands.

Keep this dough aside for a while.

This process is the same as preparing pizza dough.

Prepare the Stuffing

To prepare the stuffing, first peel and cut the potatoes in cubes. Make sure you wash the potatoes properly.

Next heat some oil in a pan and add some mustard seeds in it. Once the crackling stops, add some cumin seeds and fry that too. Next add chili powder, salt , turmeric powder and 1 Tbsp Chicken Masala (optional) .

Stir the contents of the pan well and now its time to add the potatoes. Mash the potatoes using your hands and add it into the pan. Stir it well and let the potatoes cook.

Now the stuffing is done.

Wrap the Stuffings

Now it's time to wrap the stuffing into the dough and roll it into the shape of parathas.

Take a chunk of dough and roll it into a ball. Sprinkle some flour on a flat surface and keep the dough on it.

Using a rolling pin, make the dough into a small circle and place the required amount of stuffing in it.

Now as shown in the picture, wrap the stuffing in dough and roll it again into a decent sized circle. If you roll it too thin, the stuffing might pop out.

These stuffed parathas are meant to be thick. Now it's time to toast them.

Now that you have the stuffing wrapped up and rolled, it's time to toast them. Heat a toasting pan and place each paratha on it. Add some oil or butter while toasting.

Cook the paratha on both sides by flipping it over. Now the tasty aloo parathas are done.

Usually you need a little more oil than usual to cook this as these parathas are fairly thick.

Serve Hot

After the parathas are cooked on both sides properly, place it on some paper napkins to drain out all the excess oil.

Now transfer it onto a serving plate and enjoy your meal. This can be served with a few varieties of chutneys and also these parathas taste best with thick gravies like butter chicken.

Bon Apetit !!
