TRIBAL MASK

I made a South Korean traditional mask using paper mash clay and applied a primer on top of it and then painted it.

Crush the newspaper so that it becomes like an oval like solid(ellipsoid). Then to make it not move stick it using cello tape.

Take a piece of cotton gauze and spread it on top of the newspaper ball. Now take some clay and spread it so that it becomes like a shape of a face. Then put it on top of the cotton gauze.

Now using clay tools carve out the eyes and the mouth. Use water to adjust the cut portion to get a perfect shape.

Now with some extra clay create nose and eyebrows. Score the back portion of them and stick it at appropriate positions using some water. Let it dry for a day

Apply primer on it and let it dry for some time

Finally paint it.
