Hi I'm Kalen I will be showing you how to make a house that can survive in cold climate. This is a well rounded house that will not rot and will keep you warm during the storms.

Supplies

To build this sustainable house you will need

  1. Popsicle
  2. sticks
  3. Toilet paper roll
  4. cardboard clay
  5. Pbc
  6. spay paint
  7. crayons
  8. wood poles
  9. hay
  10. animal figures
  11. tape
  12. A saw
  13. Plastic wrap

Starting With the Material

Take your Pbc and measure it so 2 pieces are 1 foot long each and the other 2 are 10 inches. Cut them with a saw until you have 4 pieces.

Making the Walls

Drill all of the walls together and add a window on any of the sides. Draw a front door and cut it out. Put the door back on and add some tape so the door can open.

Making the Roof

After you have made the walls and securely drilled them together you will start on the roof. The roofs length should be 1 foot while the width should be 15 inches long. Don't drill or glue the roof off because you can pull up the roof and see the inside. Fill in the triangle holes with more pbc and your roof is finished.

The Inside of the House

Use the saw and cut one six inch wall (Use parents help so you don't cut yourself.) and one 3 inch wall. Place them into the house as shown. Cut a hole into the walls and fill it with cotton balls as insulation. This will keep the house warm when their are fierce winds.

Final Touches to the House

In the roof place two flashlights as a light in the house. This will show the house has electricity and also has light in the house for when it's dark. With the clay that you have you should be able to build a toilet and place it in a room of your choice, then do the same with a bed.

Making the House POP!

Find spray paint of any color and spray paint the house and the roof individually. You can paint them different colors.

The Outside

Start by towering Popsicle sticks. When you think you have gotten them high enough you can start to cut the middle of a row. Not all the way down. Add a flat roof after adding an animal of your choice inside. Color the outside of the cardboard green for the grass that will be growing. A well will give you water for yourself and your farm. To build this you will need a toilet paper roll and a paper bag. Trace the toilet paper roll on the bag and cut it out slightly larger. Place the bag over one of the holes and fill it with water. The garden will be needed for food. The well will support this with water. To build the garden you will need wood sticks, clay, seeds, Popsicle sticks. Make sections for the clay and put seeds into the clay. For the herb farm you will need cardboard and hay. Fold and tape the cardboard so it is a box then add the hay.

Your Final Product!
