Surprise Card by Persona
the surprise card looks like a basic picture until the light is turned on, the hidden pictures are shown and there is a different dimension added to the media.
Supplies
black pen
scissors
glue
color paper or printed images for the hidden layer
Designing the Light Location
for the given project, the hidden layer is quite broad so to compensate for that I needed to put the light source 7 to 10 cm away. and this type of problem leads to a more spacious project in which I required some space containing both image and light sources. In the first step, I used cardboard for the base and glued them to each other first to be able to place the image perpendicular to the base and second to put a light source distant enough to illuminate the hidden lyres and align with the middle of the picture
The Design of the Circuit
as step 2 I wanted a basic circuit with an on-off switch, the tricky part is to hold the components tight enough so that electricity can run through them consistently. To achieve this I used 2 small pieces of copper tape and put them inside the normal tape which is used to fasten up the legs of the L.E.D. in. and all this needs to stay upright to reach the required position. so I bent the cardboard just enough for it to stay like that.
Making the Image and the Hidden Layers
In step 3 I used pen to draw an imagination bubble that represents the inner world of the relevant character (the receiver). I put an image inside the bubble(at the back of the paper) and some small minimal symbols which are related to the subject,
