Super Bowl Guac
Super Bowl is right around the corner, and one of the most consumed foods during the big game is avocado! So I decided to share my Super Bowl guac. So here is a last minute food idea that is easy to make and perfect for game day! Feel free to make this recipe your own, add as much of something as you like or as little as you like, cut it as little or big as you like, it's all about catering to your taste buds and having fun in the kitchen! If you want to make the guac my way follow the step by step instructable below or watch the video tutorial here!
Ingredients & Tools
Ingredients
- 4 ripe Avocados (diced in cubes)
- 1/2 Cup Cherry Tomatoes (diced)
- 1/4 Cup Red Onion (diced)
- 1 Lime
- 2 Jalapeno Peppers (diced) if you prefer hotter you can substitute with a hotter pepper
- Salt and Pepper
- Tortilla Chips
Tools
- Knife
- Spoon
- Cutting board
- Mixing bowl
- Super bowl (optional)
Avocado
It all starts with the star of the show (I don't mean Tom Brady). Begin by cutting your avocado in half long ways, removing the pit of the avocado and slicing small squares into it. These will be your "chunks" so make them as big or as small as you prefer. Add the avocado to your mixing bowl.
Dice Tomatoes and Onions
Chop up your tomatoes and onions, once again as big or as small as you prefer. Add the diced onions and tomatoes to your avocados in the mixing bowl.
Mix
Gently mix till combined.
Lime
Roll out your lime to give it a chance to release the juices, so when you squeeze it it will pour out. Chop the lime in half and squeeze it out onto your guac mixture.
Add Jalepeno
Chop up the jalapeƱo peppers and add thediced jalapenos to the guac, and salt and pepper to taste to the bowl and mix gently until everything is combined. Taste it and adjust seasoning if needed.
