I made this easy spider web using pipe cleaners and wooden dowels. I put a suction cup on the back to make it easily come off and go on.

Supplies

6 in by 1/2 cm wide wooden dowels

Black and white pipe cleaners

Suction cup

Gluing the Dowels

Hot glue 4 of the 8 dowels together to form four right angles. Then take the other 4 dowels and glue them in between the others to make eight 45 degree angles.

Adding the First Layer of the Web

Get a white pipe cleaner and curve it so that it fits in between two of the dowels like you see in the first picture. Then fold the ends like you see in the second picture.

How to Add a Full Layer of Web

Wrap the ends of the pipe cleaner around the dowel on each side then cut away the access pipe cleaner repeat these steps in between all the dowels.

Layers

You can add more layers by just making the curve bigger, I ended up adding 5 layers. You can use step 3 to help you.

The Edges

Once you think you have enough layers wrap the ends of the dowels that are just wood with white pipe cleaners.

Starting the Spider

Wrap a black pipe cleaner around your finger multiple times until you get to the end. Take another pipe cleaner and stick one end underneath one of the coils.

The Lower Part of the Spider

Wrap the pipe cleaner around it the long way and then do it the short way.

The Upper Part of the Spider

For the upper part of the spider only wrap the pipe cleaner around your finger 3 or four times. Then keep wrapping pipe cleaners around it switching between directions until it looks like the second picture.

Attaching the Parts of Th Spider

To attache the parts of the spider stick one end of a pipe cleaner into the head and the other end through the body and cut off any extra pipe cleaner.

The Legs

To make the legs fold a pipe cleaner in half and twist the halves together, then bend it like you see in the third picture. You will need six legs.

Adding the Legs

You will need three legs on each side you can add a leg by just sticking it into the body. Once you have added all the legs glue the spider to the center of the web.

Adding a Suction Cup

Get a suction cup and glue it to the back of the web in the middle. I bought suction cups from Micheals. I hope you enjoyed this instructables. :)
