Spicy Stuffed Peppers
This is dish is one of those when you really want to that Mexican taste. I made this dish spicy for that reason. But, I still made it to where the average person can still eat it. This Dish doe not take to long to make, Roughly takes about 45 mins depending on how fast you move in the kitchen.
Supplies
Ingredients-
- 2 poblano peppers
- 1/3 tomato paste
- 2/3 water
- 1 tbs of cumin
- half the roll of spicy Jim Bean ground meat
- nacho cheese
- 1 medium onion
- jalapeno peppers
- 1/2 cup of Rotel diced tomatoes
Hardware-
- non-stick skillet
- medium sized sauce pan
- non-stick backing pan
- stir stick
Meat Into a Pan
Put meat in to a non-stick skillet at a medium temperature. Chop the meat to make it to make it into little pieces of meat. You do not want to have really big pieces, almost thing of like taco meat. Your meat is done when it all is a light brown color and you no longer see any really red parts.
Cut Peppers
Cut the pablono peppers in half. You going to want to cut out the seeds as well. This will give you more room to put the rest of the stuff in the pepper. Put pepper on a non-stick backing dish.
Add Tomatoes
Your Going to add the Rotel diced tomatoes to the pan. You don't want to cook the tomatoes you are just warming them up. This is so everything is warm. Your not tasted one cold thing in your stuffed pepper, while everything thing else is warm.
Add Onions
Your going to dice up onions and add them to the pan as while. This is for the same reason as the tomatoes where. Your onions will be done when the are a very light tent of brown. Just a little lighter than your meat.
Preheating
Your going to preheat oven to 350. This is to soften up your peppers.
Put It Together
Take everything that you cooked in the pan. Add it to the inside of your peppers. This will sit for a little bit and that not problem cause you are going to stick it in the over with the peppers anyways so it will be warm when it is time to eat.
Making Sauce
Your going to get a Medium sauce pan. Add the 1/3 tomato paste to the pan, also add 2/3 cups of water. Bring this to a boil. Then add 1 tbs of cumin and stir. When it starts to boil turn off burner. Then add it on the meat and all that stuff.
Put Peppers in Oven
Put a little bit of water in the bottom of the pan. Not a lot just enough to cover the bottom of your pan. Then take tin foil and cover the top of the baking dish. this is to trap the moisture inside the pan to really soften the peppers up. Put them in the oven for 20-30 minus.
Heat Nacho Cheese
Don't heat cheese until you have taken peppers out of the oven.Take 1/2 cup nacho cheese. Put in the microwave until it can stir it easily. This will make for easing pouring. After this you are going to Pour the nacho cheese over the Peppers and everything inside them.
Add Jalapenos
Dice jalapenos up and add them to the top of the cheese. this will give it just a little more kick. This step is not required, this is just fore those people that might want a little more heat then others.
