Solar Panel Powered Arduino Uno With a Battery Backup
This article describes arduino uno board powered using solar panels. The circuit proposal consists of three solar panel connected in parallel.
The three solar panels used are of 6V rating. The positive (+) wire of all solar panels are connected together and the negative (-) wires are all connected together. Thus they are forming the main power bar.
The battery is connected on the power bar. The solar panels are charging a 6V lithium ion battery and powering up the arduino uno board on same power bar.
Supplies
- 6Volts solar panels 3 No.
- 6V 3.5 Ah battery 1 No,
- Arduino uno 1 No.
- Jumper wires
- 10k pot 2 No.s
How to Build the Setup

It is seen in the video attached that the arduino uno is powered using solar power (green energy).
The software loaded in arduino is a dual channel analog reader.
Since i have loaded analog display software , i used lcd to see the data.
iam sharing the software and data can be seen on arduino serial datalogger as well.
