Soda/beer Can Stove

This is an ultralight stove design. This a popular design among hikers, campers, and preppers. This can be made with almost any can.

Aluminum cans are plentiful especially along roads. This is why I like this project because it's almost free. Just find some cans

Cut the tops of with a can opener. Its a little difficult but you'll get the hang of it

Just clean out the inside so it doesn't smell like beer

Make a mark at 2 inches from the top. Make a mark 1.5 inches from the bottom. Use a large book and set your marker on the proper level for the line. Spin the can around to mark all the way around.

Puncture the can and cut along the lines. Clean edges if necessary.

Take the upper part of the can and use a strip of paper to find the circumference. Divide the circumference by sixteen and mark at those intervals. Attach the paper to the can and mark all sixteen points.

Cut slits at the intervals each about half centimeter each.

Use something hard and flat like a metal ruler to crease along the slits. Make sure to crease at every other slit. Hold your finger under the piece to help make the crease. Make sure to deny the shoulder of the can

Bend/fold down the slits to allow the cans to fit together snugly. Press the cans together firmly

Press the inside walls toward the outer walls so that the fuel last longer. The walls of the inside should be quite flush.

Heet found in the yellow bottle is used as fuel. Fill the stove a little over half full for a burn long enough to boil water.
