Snowflake Trophy

Capture- finished trophy.PNG

I made a trophy the represents the snow because it can be used for competitions that involve snow or sports done in the winter. Such as snowboarding, sledding, skiing, ice-skating, hockey and more.

Supplies

I didn't get or 3D print it but to make my sketch and the platform I used to make the trophy was OnShape.

I used an old sketch of a snowflake for the trophy and extruded it to 5 mm.

Then, I created a new plane to make the base of the trophy.

After that, I made a new sketch on the new plane that was 25 by 101mm and extruded it to 12.7 mm high.

then, I made a new sketch on the face of the base that was closest to the bottom of the snowflake. I made two construction lines parallel to each other and made them 0.2mm away from each other with the dimension tool.

I made a CenterPoint circle below the snowflake (so that if it were to be extruded it would touch the ends of the snowflake) and distanced it 1.016 mm away from one construction line.

then I used the mirror tool, chose my mirror line and clicked on my center point circle so it can be mirrored. i also extruded both circles 45.70mm tall, touching the snowflake

After that I made a new sketch on the face that's the front of the base, made a text box and sketched out 1st place. i also extruded it to 2.50 mm so it shows on the trophy.
