Small Recycled Storage Bottle

This is a quick and easy way to reuse small baby bottles for any kind of storage. It also makes a really easy and simple gift idea. With holidays approaching this would make for a creative, cute, and simple gift.

Gather Your Materials

To make these easy and decorative surface containers you'll need, a small baby food bottle (empty and washed), some slate spray paint, chalk, and whatever you plan on using to decorate it with afterwords.

Spray Paint the Lid

Unscrew the lid from the bottle and take it and the spray paint to a ventilated area. you'll probably want to put some newspaper under the lid when you put it down. paint the lid all the way around, making sure you get an even layer on all sides. Now wait for the paint to dry. This will differ depending on your climate and what paint you're using, but mine was done in about 30 minutes.

Labeling and Decorating

Using your chalk, write on the lid what you plan on putting inside the bottle. because it's chalk you'll want to be careful not to bump the description after you finish writing. Decorate the bottle as you would like. I just used a little ribbon for this one. Put whatever you're going to store in the bottle, are the lid on and you're done! This is handy for storing little things around your house, or in our case, a quick and easy gift idea. The best part is that you can always erase the chalk label and use the bottle for something else. If you do try this for yourself, please add a photo. I'd love to see how you're using your booties and how they're decorated.
