Cutting the Card
take your sheets of card and cut each of them into four roughly equal strips. you will need about 18 strips so you will have a couple spare.
Now in batches of three arrange them so they meet at one end but are slightly splayed out with two strips on top and the center strip below.
Staple the ends that meet together
repeat this six times or until you have enough to form a circle with them as pictured. you might want to lay them out on the floor for ease.

Arranging the Strips
once you have the desired amount of strips arrange them as before but turn every second group of three over so that the two strips are at the bottom and the single strip at the top so when arranged out there is always a strip overlapping or under-lapping.
Staple the inner circle together

Finishing Off the Body
once all the strips are stapled start bringing the outermost strips together and stapling them. you may want to do it in batches of three as you did before or work your way round, its up to you just make sure that your strips are alternating over and under.
voila, you have your pumpkin shape.

Adding Some Foliage
Take your green sheet and fold it in half, then draw a rough jaggy shape from the folded side out. make sure your shape is big enough to cover the hole at the top of the pumpkin.
cut it out and attach it to the pumpkin using double sided tape (you might want to reach in from the bottom hole to make sure its secure.
then make take two strips from your left over green card and make a springy paper chain as shown here
https://www.instructables.com/id/Simple-springy-paper-chain/ and attach that to the green patch using yep you guessed it double sided tape.

Now the Fun Bit
Now we need to give our pumpkin a face.
Take your black card and fold it in half.
draw half a mouth shape from the folded side out and the same for the eyes then cut them out
Note: this is only if you want the face to be symmetrical.
attach them to the body of the pumpkin using double sided tape.

Finished
and there you go, a no fuss pumpkin decoration that can be sat on the ground or if you attach string to it can be hung up.
Try it out with different sizes and faces.
also if you use thinner strips and leave for of a gap between them you can place a small electrical light in it (NO CANDLES!)
