Simple Glowing Ghost Decoration

IMG_5982.JPG

Hi,

After a comment by instructablies member holloweem I threw together this quick and cheap glowing ghost decoration. depending on your glow sticks it will only last one evening but they are so quick and cheap to make that if you wanted to do a different one each evening it wouldnt be a hassle.

Its dead* simple and takes about 5 mins to make.

I apologise in advance for the photo quality as trying to capture the ghost in the dark using my iphone didn't produce the best pictures

*see what i did there

Stuff You'll Need

Materials

A white bin bag (the cheaper the better as they will be more translucent)

A White round balloon

Black cardboard

a glow stick (green works really well

Take your bin bag and cut the open end to make it a bit ragged.

Cut a small hole in the middle of the sealed edge. your string is going to go through here so its only a small hole needed.

Make It Glow

Take your glow stick and get it glowing. Thin Glow sticks are easier to bend and fit into the balloon as shown.

Blow up the balloon and tie it off.

Ties some string around the tied end and feed it through the small hole you cut in the bin bag so it hangs around the balloon.

Face Your Fears
