Simple and Easy Bird House

Supplies

- Half a log of wood about 7 inches tall, does not need to be exact

- Wood glue

- Bandsaw

-Drill

- 1/8 inch bit

- 1.25 inch bit

- Rope

- 2 Clamps

Sawing Out the Roof

mark out a line about 1 to 1.5 inches of the edge a saw it of using the bandsaw. it'll take some time as the wood is pretty thick, take your time

saw off both ends, about an inch away from the edge

Hollow Out the Centre

hollow out the center leaving 1 inch thick walls with a bandsaw. the not-needed chunk of wood can be thrown away or if not, use in a different project.

Sealing the Blade's Entry and Exit

fill the gap with wood glue and then use clamp it together.

Sealing

use the ends from step 2, glue them back on with wood glue, and clamp.

Hole for the Birds

using a 1.25-inch drill bit, I drilled a hole at the front.

Add Roof

Attachment of roof is done here with wood glue, if you would like to, you could use high grit sandpaper to make it smoother.

Add Rope

add the rope under the roof to hang it

Hang It on a Tree
