Simple Lock / Cupboard Lock / Child Lock

This is the Make It Move Project, it's a simple lock. This lock is good for light wooden bedroom doors / cupboards / Child lock / etc. The features of this lock are good and useable. The next few slides show the amazing features of this lock.

This Lock is definitely cool looking on doors or any surface. While 3D Printing, I suggest the lock in 2 different colours, that way it could stand out and be visible the surface which looks fancy too.

As I said this lock is simple, here I added a finger hole to put your finger and push the lock. This won't exactly fit the size of your finger but you will still have enough grip to push it.

This is where it gets a tiny bit complicated. This is one of the main parts that hold the lock-in place. This extra piece has 3 jobs. 1. Instead of the top case holding the lock in place, it holds the lock on a strong piece on the top centre line. 2. This part works like sliders on cupboards and drawers and the strong piece act as a stopper. 3. It only allows the stopper and the socket to be rubbed instead of the case.

The drill holes allow you to attach the lock onto surfaces that need to be locked (TIP: attach the screws at a 90* angle perpendicular to the surface for smooth sliding lock). The holes are descended a bit to fit any size screws. If you don't want to damage your surface with drill holes, you could attach it with double-sided tape but that would not be so effective as a lock.
