Shuffling a Deck of Cards

Many people are starting to play cards. They want to learn how to get better at it. One important factor is to know how to shuffle the cards. There are many different ways to shuffle cards but there is a faster and better option in which I am going to show you today.

The shuffle is easy to do but it might take a few tries to perfect it. You can also add steps to it but I am only going to show you the normal way of doing it.

You can find a deck of cards in almost every retailer store. There are many types of cards that are best suited for certain play styles. But I recommend you get a normal standard deck.

Some of the best places to use the cards are on a desk, table, or on your bed, so that you can easily pick up the cards if they happen to fall. And it is a lot easier to use the cards since they will not be able to fall so easily.

First you need to know what type of game you are playing because you might have to take out a few cards depending on the game. Most games won't need you to take any cards from the deck but there are some in which a few cards have to be taken out. But in this example we won't be taking out any cards.

Finger positioning is very important because if you don’t have secure positioning on the cards, then they’ll just fly out. If you're not holding the cards in a good and secure way then you will not be able to shuffle them correctly. And the cards would be damaged.

Now that you are holding the cards in a secure way. What you do next is split the deck in half so that you have half of the deck on each hand. You must have a secure hold on both halves of the deck. This way the cards will be shuffled in a fast way and easily.

Now what you do is that you bend the decks into some kind of L shape. Then you put the tip of your thumb on the top of the deck and slowly drag up through the decks so that the cards can come down quickly and will be shuffled one by one.

Finally you just have to fix up the deck. There are also many variations of this which you can learn later on but you can just fix them up the normal way without doing too much.
