Sev Khamani (Crunchy Noodles With Crush Chickpeas)

Sev Khamani (Crunchy noodles with crush chickpeas) - Its a Gujarat (India) people's yummy breakfast.

Supplies

Ingredients:

 

1 cup chickpeas split lentils

2 tbsp oil

2tsp mustard seeds

2tsp sesame seeds

¼ tsp asafoetida

2 tbsp sugar

2 tbsp pomegranate seeds

2 tbsp desiccated coconut

3 tbsp crunchy chickpea noodles

1 lemon juice

2 tbsp raisin

2tbsp green chilli and ginger paste

2tbsp garlic paste

Salt as per taste

Preparation for Batter

Sock chickpeas split lentils for 4 hours. Then after 4 to 5 hours, discard the water and make a smooth paste using mixture grinder adding salt and little water.

Steam Batter

Pour paste prepared above in bowl and add turmeric powder and sugar. Mix all things together. Take a steamer and add paste. Steam for 10-15 min on medium to high flame. After 15 minutes turn off the stove.

Chickpeas Grated Powder

Cut the steamed cake and allow it to cool down. Take a big bowl on that put sieve on it then take steamed cake press and slide on sieve to make it evenly grated powder.

Cook the Crush Chickpeas

Heat oil in cauldron, add mustered seeds, asafoetida, green chilli and ginger paste and garlic paste. Sauté them till raw aroma goes. Then add sesame seeds, raisins, chickpeas grated power into it. Mix well and add water, desiccated coconut. After 5 minutes, squeezed one lemon juice and mix. Turn off the stove.

Serve the Yummy Dish

Serve dish with cashew, crunchy chickpea noodle, pomegranate seeds and coriander leaves.
