Seasonal Cafe - Entrepreneurial Pop-up

Hi! My name is Sofia, and I'm a senior in High School. For this project, I used Tinkercad.

After seeing the challenge, I knew I wanted to do something innovative that I had never seen before and that could be done in real life. That is where I came up with a seasonal cafe, a cafe that can be open in different ways during different seasons and types of weather. During the fall/ spring/ summer, it looks like an open cafe where everyone can take advantage of the great weather. During the winter, it is a drive-thru cafe, allowing customers to enjoy the place's products without having to get wet or cold during bad weather.

If you are interested in this cafe, scroll down and learn how to build it!

Setting Up Container

To start our cafe, we first need to set up the container. First, we'll take out a rectangular piece from one of the smaller sides of the container. The rectangle needs to be big enough to fit a glass door.

Then, we'll cut one of the longer sides of the container in half, allowing us to either fully open or half open the side of the container, making this cafe a seasonal cafe.

We can also add six solar panels to make our cafe environmentally friendly.

Getting Ready for the Good Weather

Whenever we have good weather, we will fully open the cafe by opening both parts of the cut side of the container and placing support columns, allowing customers to enjoy the sun and fresh air.

We Are Ready!

Once we have our cafe open, all we have to do is decorate it! We can add a kitchen counter, fridge, and oven/stove for this step. We can also add four tables and distribute six chairs among them. It is also essential to include an air cleaning machine if we want to have fresh circulation.

To make our cafe more of a vibe, we can add some shelves with indoor plants, an arcade machine, our cafe sign, and place the menu outside.

And we are ready to open!

Getting Ready for the Bad Weather

Whenever we have bad weather, we will have to close our cafe, but that doesn't mean our customers can't enjoy our products. Therefore, we'll open a drive-thru cafe by closing the bottom part of the cut side of the container, removing the support columns, and placing two smaller pieces of wood.
