Sizing the Fabric
The first thing you need to do it cut your fabric down to the right size (see materials to determine which size fits your dog). An easy way to tell if it is the right size is to fold it roughly into a triangle and see how well it wraps around your dog's neck. If the corners can tie without choking the dog, then it is the right size. Now just even it up and make it a square.
Optional: Ironing
If the fabric is wrinkly, then you will want to iron it before you sew it.
Fold the Fabric
Now you want to take your ironed piece of fabric and fold it into a triangle.
Important: You want the fabric to be showing the underneath side. It will be turned right side out later.
Sewing
Sew down the raw edges with a 1/4" seam allowance. Leave a hole big enough to insert your hand at one side.
Cut the Tip
Now that the bandana is sewn. Cut the tip of it (Be carful not to cut the stitching!). This will allow the bandana to lay more neatly when we turn it right side out.
Turn It Right Side Out
Reach your hand through the hole which you left in the side and pull the bandana right side out. If needed press with an iron again.
Final Sewing
Now that it is right side out, top stitch around the whole project with an 1/8" seam allowance.
Finished!
Now you have some cute bandanas to make your dog even cuter!
