Sazon Beef Taco and Rice
I made a Sazon Beef taco and rice filling. As someone who tries to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle, this is an easy, cheap, and quick meal that any beginner can make.
Supplies
- Small pot with lid cover
- 1 small skillet
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- Two small Sazon seasoning packets
- 1 can black beans rinsed
- 1/2 ground beef per person
- 1/2 cup rice to 1 cup water
- 1/4 white onion
- tortilla/chips
Start the Rice
1.) In your medium pot place 1/2 cup rice, with 1 cup water on medium heat
2.) Add 11/2 tsp Salt, 1 tsp Onion powder, and 1 tsp chili powder and 1/2 packet Sazon seasoning.
3.) Mix well and place a lid over the pot and let sit for 5-10 minutes or until steaming is complete and rice is soft
Beef Filling
1.) Over medium heat place 1/2 cup ground beef (per person) and cook until brown
2.) Add 1/4 white onion into the pan until light brown
3.)Once cooked drain the excess oil and place beef back into pan and set aside until beans are ready to be added
Black Bean Filling
1.) Open 1 can of black beans and rinse them and drain them.
2.) Place into a medium bowl and add 1/2 packet Sazon, 1 1/2 Garlic powder.
3.) Place into the microwave for 2 minutes and stir.
Add It All Together
1.)Add 1/4 tsp water to ground beef with 1 packet of sazon
2.)Let settle on low heat until the sauce thickens
3.) Add warmed black beans to the pan on low heat
4.)Warm your tortillas or add chips and serve
