Roasted Chickpeas - Two Spice Mixes
Many people snack on food that is unhealthy for them, I personally eat a lot of chips that are full of fat and might not be so good for my heart, but why do we eat those snacks? Because they taste good obviously. Imagine a snack that is healthy for you and that at the same time tastes amazing, well with these roasted chickpea recipe you will get what you are asking for, in addition to that I offer you two spice mixes so you can switch the taste of your snack if you like.
As always any feedback is welcome and do not bother to show me your pictures of your version, even if you do a different spice mix, comment down below so I can try it!
Ingredients and Materials
For this really simple recipe your ingredients will be:
Ingredients for both spice mixes:
- 2 cans of chickpeas (I used 1 can for each spice mix)
- Olive oil (Not pictured)
- Sea salt
Spice mix #1
- Paprika
- Garlic powder
- Cumin
Spice mix #2
- Curry powder
- Cinnamon
- Ground ginger
Those are all the ingredients, the materials you will need will be:
- A mixing bowl
- Paper towels
- A baking tray
- An oven
Pretty easy right?
Drying and Mixing
First of all you need to drain and dry your chickpeas, to dry them just lightly pat them with some paper towels
When they are all dry simply add them to a bowl and add the ingredients you wish, there are no specific measurements because you can add the spices as you wish, be sure to add the olive oil so your chickpeas roast to perfection.
Roasting
For the roasting be sure your oven is preheated to 400°F or 200°C, to roast your chickpeas add them to a baking tray on a single layer and put them in your oven for half an hour, after that time has past turn them and add them back to your oven for another half hour, be sure to check on your chickpeas constantly so they do not burn as some of mine did.
All Done!
After roasting your chickpeas you are all done! be sure to let them cool for some time and then eat them up, these did not last very much at my house as everybody loved them!
Thanks for reading and be sure to leave feedback as all is welcome.
