Roach Butter (Bug Butter)
After searching the web I found several homemade roach killer formulas. So building on ones I have seen mentioned I set off to make my own.
I hope it works for you. I would appreciate feedback as to success etc.

Mixing It Up
Since I had the left over peanut butter still in the jar I chose to not dirty another mixing source.
*****NOTE ******** to be safe I would mix the ingredients in a container that you will never use again for human consumption.
Start by mixing the peanut butter and hot water together to get a thinner mixture.
Next add the honey and mix well.
You are creating a mix of protein, sugars, and ingredients that bugs eat and dont know will kill them.
Next add the Boric Acid << Roach Killer.
I found that by leaving Boric Acid sprinkled around the counter or floors seems to do nothing. The bugs won't touch it and it doesen't work well.
After you get the Boric Acid mixed in then add your diatomaceous earth.
You should be getting a peanut butter consistency by now.
Start adding powdered sugar. stir in a bit at a time you are seeking to make a mild paste. keep in mind the water will evaporate over time on it's own to don't make the mix into a brick or the roach won't be able to eat it well.
Diatomaceous earth can be bought in the garden center at Home Depot and I'm sure is available else where. Keep in mind it comes often in large quantities.
Diatomaceous earth is not harmful to humans. It is often found in flour, bread mix, cake mix etc. it is used in flour and other baking goods to control bugs.
To bugs however the micro fine particles have sharp edges on them and they cut and pierce the exoskeleton of the bug and cause it to dehydrate or bleed and die. (from what I have read)

Filling the Traps
I had saved a few roach traps from last year. The contents have long since dried up I'm sure.
I figured if I took a butter knife and used it to spread/fill the trap that it would work okay.
I kind of did a messy job on purpose leaving some very easy for the bugs to get to.
SAFETY NOTE!!!!!! If you have small children or animals make sure you do a cleaner job and DO NOT place these traps with in the reach of your child or animal !!!!!
If you don't have traps my guess is you could cut up a paper plate, or small cardboard box and spread some bug butter on those.
I doubt the bugs will care :) !!!

Finishing Up
Lastly:
I kept the left overs in the jar for the next round if I need it.
MAKE SURE You label the jar or storage container well. I recommend you DO NOT store this mixture in the kitchen. I put mine on the top shelf of my bedroom closet so there is no mix up.
I would guess this mixture will last maybe a month or so? Time will tell I suppose.
I'd love to hear from you. Hope you get your roaches to come over for the last supper.
