Rice and Beef Casserole

Picture D.jpg

I made a casserole with basic ingredients. I work a lot so sometimes it's nice to make something easy for my son and me. This casserole primary ingredients are Beef, Cheese, and rice.

Supplies

one spatula measuring cup

9 x 9 baking pan medium/small saucepan

First you will want to "wash " your rice. Meaning you want to measure out the rice (3/4 cup) you will be using and put it in the saucepan without water. Then add water to cover rice, stir around, strain, and repeat 3 or 4 times.

Once that is complete then add the water to cook with. You want the water roughly 1 inch above the rice (3/4 cup) on medium heat.

Pre heat oven to 350 degrees.

When your rice is done cooking, add into you 9x9 pan. Then add your beef (1lb), salt and pepper (to taste), Onion Powder and Garlic Powder (2 tsp), vegetable broth (1/4 cup), Cumin (1tsp), and Worcestershire sauce (2tsp) to the mix and with your hands, mix thoroughly.

Once everything is mixed together put in oven for approximately 30 minutes.

Once the 30 minutes is done or the casserole is done, remove from oven. Add 1/2 cup of cheese on top and return inside of oven for cheese to melt. When melted the casserole is complete and ready to serve.
