Colored Recycled Paper
Hi! I know that there are a lot of tutorials about recycled paper, but this is how I did.
Supplies
- Used paper
- Buckets
- Water (of rain)
- Blender
- Paper cutter or scissors (optional)
- Old frame
- Mosquito net
- Stapler
- Cloths
- Acrylic paint
Prepare Paper
Cut all paper with your hands, you can use also scissors or paper cutter. Put it in water for two days. I used rain water. Please, use paper that is written on oth sides, if it is only written on one side it can still be used.
Frame
Prepare de frame, I removed all the screws of the frame. Cut the mosquito net with the same measure and glue it with silicone, to secure it I put staples (better with staples).
Blend It
(Don't remove any water). Take your blender and blend it.
Pour more rainwater into a larger container, take some paper with your hands and pour it into the water. To not change the water so many times add the yellow color first and stir well until it dissolves.
Follow the pictures. It is easier than it looks like!
Dissolves paint well, submerge the frame, let it drain a little and put it face down on the cloth. Press with a cloth or sponge to remove excess water and remove the frame.
Let Dry
In order not to change the water many times, you can divide the yellow water into two containers. In one pour red to make orange and in another blue to make green. To make blue or red you have to put new water, but if you have rainwater it's fine. I did this project in summer and it was very hot, it took less than two days to dry.
Cut Edges
This step is optional, you can cut the edges or not, as you like.
Contemplate Them
Fun fact: the cloth I used to let the papers dry was purple, the papers were purple on the back.
Use It!
This is one of the things I did with paper, they are very good for drawing with watercolors and decorating with them. You can also make a notebook, but that will be in another tutorial!
