Real Invisibility Spell From Harry Potter!

In this very fast experiment I want to show you how it is possible to make an invisibility spell directly from the Harry Potter saga

you will need very few things including

- vegetable oil

- Bleach (sodium hypochlorite)

- Wine or other dark drink

- Borosilicate or Pyrex glass

for this part of the experiment you will need bleach and a colored drink

in this part what I'm going to do is use the bleach in large quantities and then add the colored liquid,

what the bleach will do is dissolve colors and other substances with a process called oxidation

"Bleach works by releasing oxygen molecules in a process called oxidation. The oxygen molecules released by bleach break up the chemical bonds of chromophores. The changed chromophore molecules either reflect no color or a color outside the visible spectrum."

the quantities involved are important because if you did not use enough bleach you would immediately see that the effect is that of

instead, using large quantities of bleach, what happens is that the liquid is oxidized immediately and almost seems to disappear!

for this part of the experiments you will need some vegetable oil (I used sunflower oil but the best it's canola oil) and borosilicate or pyrex glass

You can make glass objects disappear.
Glass objects are visible because they reflect some of the light that shines on them and bend or refract the light that shines through them. If you eliminate reflection from and refraction by a glass object, you can make that object disappear.

This effect it's called index reflection

Every material has an index of refraction that is linked to the speed of light in the material. The higher a material’s index of refraction, the slower light travels in that material.

What we are going to do is immerse a test tube in vegetable oil and in this situation the inside of the tube is easily visible
this is due to the air that is contained in the test tube, however, when we go to fill the tube with vegetable oil (which is the same) inside the beaker the tube will disappear as if by magic
