Re-epoxy Old Epoxy Floor

Instructions to prep and re-coat an old epoxy floor.

Prep

Scrub the floor with TSP and rinse with water. Run a wire brush on an angle grinder over the surface to remove any old loose epoxy. Use a sanding pole to rough the surface with 120 grit sand paper. Vacuum the floor. Wipe with a damp rag. Vacuum again.

Mix part A and B of epoxy in a 5 gallon bucket with a drill mixer. Apply epoxy in sections with epoxy roller.

Apply flakes to coated areas with a seed spreader.

Rexthane

After the epoxy is dried apply a clear coat of rexthane with a mohair roller for extra protection.
