Rainbow Cake
This is the perfect Birthday cake !
For the child and the adult !
Supplies
For the cake
- 7.05 oz of flavour or 200 grams
- 7.05 oz of sugar or 200 grams
- 3.5 oz of butter or 100 grams
- 3.5 oz of cream or 100 grams
- 5 centilitre of milk
- 0.25 oz of baking powder or 7.5 grams
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 tea spoon of baking soda
- 1 vanilla pod
- 3 dyes (blue / yellow and red)
For the interlayer ganache :
- 0.5 oz or 10 grams Cream
- 12 square of White Chocolate
For the covering ganache
- 7.05 oz or 200 grams of black chocolate
- 1,76 oz or 50 grams of liquid cream
- 0.88oz or 25 grams of butter
Mix Part 1
Crack the eggs and beats them until they are homogeneous.
Add all the sugar and mix.
Melt the butter and add it to your mix
Mix Part 2
Split the vanilla pod in half in length side recover the marble with the knife and add it to your mix.
Add the baking powder and baking soda. Add also the Flavor.
Stir the mix in order that make something uniform.
Add Cream and milk and stir.
Add the COLORS !
Split the mixture in 6 equals parts
Blue+Red = Violet
Blue = Blue
Blue + Yellow = Green
Yellow = Yellow
Yellow+Red = Orange
Red = Red
Mix...Mix...Mix up to make color uniform !
Oven Time
Every cake must be cooked separetly at 190°C during 10minute
We have used a 16cm mould
If some of the cake have inflate you can cut it as one the picture in order to make the cake flat.
Now you should have 6 flat cakes !
Take Some Altitude
Make the interlayer Ganache using :
White chocolate 12 squares of chocolate and 10 grams of cream. On the picture there is less, but I think it was not enough.
Put the cream to boil when the cream boil puts it on the chocolate and mix with energy.
We choose to pile the cake as a rainbow, but you can make as you want !
from the bottom to the top :
- Violet
- Blue
- Green
- Yellow
- Orange
- Red
Put some interlayer ganache between each cake.
Covering Ganache
To make the final ganache use 200 grams of black chocolate, 50 grams of cream and 25 grams of butter
break the chocolate in small part.
Put the cream to boil, when the cream is boiling put it on the chocolate.
Mix from the middle starting slowly when the mix is homogeneous, add the butter in small cubes.
Covering the Cake
Using a knife or a tablespoon or most appropriate tool if you have.
Take the ganache and put it on the cake.
Make the ganache as smooth as you can and make sure that there is no hole in the ganache.
Add Some Decoration
We made the choice of putting some Cracked nut and raspberry but you can add your imagination.
