RUBBER BAND RACE CAR.
ALMOST AS SOON AS CARS WERE INVENTED, PEOPLE STARTED RACING THEM. THE FIRST MODERN-STYLE CAR WITH AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE CAME ALONG IN 1885. BY 1900, RACE CARS COULD. ALREADY REACH MODERN HIGHWAY SPEED, AND THE FIRST CAR TO REACH A SPEED OF 100MPH DID SO IN 1904! THESE EARLY RACE CARS WERE VERY DANGEROUS, WITH OPEN CABS AND ALMOST NO SAFRTY GEAR(SEAT BELT) FOR THE DRIVES.
