Quick and Easy Chocolate Pie
Chocolate Pie is one of my favorite desserts! This pie is quick and easy to make! It wasn’t that long ago that I learned to make this delicious pie and I want others to enjoy making it as much as I do! So let’s get started!
Supplies
• 1 large mixing bowl
• 1 medium mixing bowl
• Small microwaveable bowl (that can hold at least half a cup)
• Whisk (or mixing spoon whichever you prefer)
• 1 teaspoon
• 1/2 cup
• 1 cup
• 1 pie plate
• Cookie sheet
• Spoon (for scooping mixture into pie plate)
Ingredients
1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 2 eggs (beaten) ,1 cup white sugar, 1/2 cup butter melted and cooled, 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans (optional)
Mixing Ingredients
In large mixing bowl, mix flour, sugar and, semisweet chocolate chips.
In smaller mixing bowl, stir in beaten eggs, butter (melted), nuts (optional) and, vanilla. Mix well.
Add ingredients from smaller bowl (wet ingredients) to the larger bowl (dry ingredients). Mix well.
Baking
Pour ingredients mixture into refrigerated pie crust. Place pie pan on cookie sheet. Bake in a preheated 325 degree F (165 degree C) oven for one hour. (Tip: I would check on it ten or fifteen minutes before finished cooking to make sure it hasn't burned. Sometimes it may cook faster or in may cook slower so at the end of the timer I put the pie into the fridge to help the pie harden and not be as gooey. Also I curved the crust and that is optional you may shape the crust however you like.)
Hope You Enjoyed
Hope you enjoyed my quick and easy chocolate pie! Feel free to comment any questions you may have about this pie. I suggest cutting it into eight servings but feel free to cut larger or smaller pieces if you would like. You may add any topping you would like. I had used whipped topping and cherries but I think strawberries or any fruit or topping you love on pies will work feel free to experiment! One problem I found is the edges started to burn, so if that happens I suggest covering the edges with tin foil to help prevent it burning too much while the rest of the pie cooks. If you have any questions or problems you may write a comment and I will try to find the best answers I can for you!
