Pulling Up the Carpet in Our Son's Room

The Start of Renovating Conner's Bedroom ~ Removing The Carpet and Fining Original Hardwood Floors

We are starting the DIY renovation of Conner’s bedroom. There are many things we will be doing from the ceiling, walls, floors, to everything in between. In the first video, you will get to see us clear the room and pull up all the carpet. See how forgetful we can be and how we have to fight the carpet into trash bags. Plus, finding original hardwood flooring 'Curly Maple' under the carpet was a nice surprise.

This is what the room looked like before we started the project. We have a blue carpet, yellow walls, and trim work and doors that don't match.

The Carpet Is GONE

We have all the carpet pulled up. Just the padding and we will see what is all underneath.

We Found Hardwood Floors

After all the carpet and padding is pulled up we find original hardwood floors from the 40's. It does have some water damage and some other issues but we will tackle that after we take down the walls.
