Propeller Moving Message Display Using Arduino Uno. Wireless Power Transformation to Secondary Coil. 4 Inch Fan Motor Used.
In this design im made a propeller moving message display on a fan motor. There is a transformer whose primary is fed with 12 V AC @ 45KHZ. The secondary of the transformer is mounted on a fan blade. The secondary of the transformer contains Arduino Uno board which is preprogrammed with fixed message pattern.
As the fan is switched ON , the secondary coil starts turning . The display on the secondary coil also starts turning. The secondary coil gains power from the primary coil.
The value shown on the LEDS is displayed as a design on the display.

Oscillator
The oscillator is the heart of the circuit. The oscillator generates 12V 45KHZ voltage.
The building block of the oscilator is the IC 555.
IC555 is used in astable mode. 1K resistors and 0.01 uF capacitors are responsible to generate 45Khz signal which is fed to the mosfet IRF840. The mosfet must be fitted with a heatsink as this is a power circuit.
The photos showing the oscillator are attached.
Primary Coil
The primary coil is fed with oscillator output. The primary coil is wound on a plastic plate. I'm using 25 cm acrylic plate for primary coil.
I wound 60% area of the plate with the coil. The coil is on a flat surface. so , to fix the coil used paper tapes. The paper tapes heep the coil fixed and rigid in a fixed place.
Secondary Coil
The secondary coil consists of the 20cm acrylic sheet plate. The plate is wound 95% with copper wire. We used paper tapes to keep the copper wires fixed and rigid in position. The top of the secondary coil is fitted with the display control PCB. The PCB consist of Arduino Uno and a set of LEDs. It also contains a Schottky diode that converts 45KHZ AC signal into a DC signal. There is a filter capacitor that filters out the ripples. The filtered DC is fed to IC 7805 to regulate the output and give +5v DC at the output. This filtered DC is fed to Arduino Uno driving a set of LEDs.
The secondary coil is mounted on a fan motor. There is a spacer that will keep the secondary coil away from the primary coil. The spacer is also responsible to generate the suitable voltage on the secondary.
Air gap is used as a coupling media. This is used because this is the only contactless power transfer solution. The secondary coil holds the Arduino. The Arduino Uno is preprogrammed with a program.

Final Results
To get the final result the primary coil is powered up first. The secondary coil gains power and Arduino Uno initializes and displays the programmed data.
Now the fan motor is turned ON. We can see nice design in the secondary coil. Also The design may vary with the speed of the motor and programmed data in the Arduino.
