Powerful HHO Generator: Using 99 + Razor Blades for Electrolysis 2500 °C
Welcome to the future of clean energy! Today, we will create a unique hydrogen generator that opens up new possibilities for using hydrogen in everyday life. Hydrogen is an eco-friendly and powerful energy source that can be extracted from ordinary water through the process of electrolysis. Not only is this innovative, but it’s also completely safe when assembled correctly.
Supplies
Container and Lid Preparation:
Use a high-quality transparent plastic container with an airtight bamboo lid. A silicone membrane ensures a tight seal.
Cut two 17 cm long identical pieces from a stainless steel threaded rod for optimal durability.
Collect high-quality hoses, faucets, and adapters for assembly.

Blade and Rod Assembly
Start by screwing a nut onto the rod, inserting metal blades (ensuring they don't touch), and then tightening the next nut.
Use around 150 blades for this assembly. Drill two holes in the lid and repeat the process with the second rod.
Ensure uniform gaps between blades to avoid short circuits, and check reliability with a tester.
Connection of Tubes and Power Supply:
- Connect the blue high-pressure tube to the generator and the submerged tube in the water barrier.
- Attach the outlet from the barrier to the burner tube. Use an air-cooled power supply (6-12 V and at least 4 A).
Hydrogen Production and NaOH Addition
Add sodium hydroxide (NaOH) to the water to increase electrolyte conductivity. This helps speed up electrolysis, enabling faster hydrogen generation.
Burner Testing
For testing, use an assembled burner. The flame, reaching 2500°C, easily cuts through a utility knife blade within seconds.
Improving the Electrolyzer
Optimization and Improvements:
I have ideas to improve both the electrolyzer and the burner construction. Stay tuned for future projects that will showcase these innovations.
After 30 minutes of burner use, note that the blades show no corrosion or rust—an impressive result!
