Power Bank Auto-off Problem Solving - Make This Awake Plug
Now all power banks have an auto-turn-off feature. power banks automatically turn off at is minimum of 100 mAh load not detected. I think this is a problem for electronic project lovers & makers. we test our many electronic & Arduino projects quickly using a power bank but all new power banks turn off automatically when we work with our project. I made a simple electronic circuit to bypass the auto-off function of any power bank.
It is a simple USB plug it gives 3sec. input load in every 6 sec. so power banks keep awake
Supplies
- small perfboard
- USB A type Male & female
- IC 555 ( IC base 8 pin optional )
- 10 mfd electrolytic capacitor
- Transistor BC 548 B
- Resistor
- 33 ohms, 1M, 270K, 220 Ohms, 1K
- Dide IN 4148
- LED
Make the Circuit
Make the circuit on a perfboard. you can use a big perfboard it will be easier.
i have used a USB male connector but you can use any USB A-type cable if you face difficulty arranging an USB male connector.
Testing & USE
Just plug in the USB male of the circuit to any power bank. usually, power banks turn off after 10 sec to 30 sec without any load but after you have plunged into this circuit, the power bank stays awake. you can use the female socket of the circuit. don't forget to unplug the circuit when you are not using the power bank.
you can watch the video for more details about its works.
