Pizza Bites

I was looking for something to make for my instructable project. I felt kind of hungry so I looked at different kinds of foods. My original plan would've been regular pizza but, a snack caught my eye called pizza bites so, instead I chose pizza bites. Pizza bites are good on the go, lunch, and dinner. So, I started working on it.

Ingredients:

1 recipe of pizza dough

4 oz. mozzarella cheese, cubed (about 20-24 pieces) or shredded mozzarella cheese

Sliced pepperoni

6 tablespoons butter, softened

3 tablespoons minced garlic

1/2 cup warm water

1 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

1 1/2 teaspoons honey {or sugar}

1 teaspoons salt

1 tablespoons olive or canola oil

1 1/2 cups bread flour {give or take 1/2 cup}

Produces: 20-24

In this picture it only shows 15. This is because I made each of them slightly more larger.

Materials:

1 tablespoon

1 1/4 teaspoon

1 teaspoon

1/4 tablespoon

1 cup

1/2 teaspoon

1 dough roller

1 stand up mixer

Getting Started!

Using a large mixing bowl, recommending a stand up mixer, stir the yeast in with the sugar or honey (could do both) and with 1/2 cup of warm water. Leave it for about a minute Then, you would want to add in salt, oil, and half the flour and mix them together.

Once, you have mixed in the flour, start pouring in the other half of flour in small proportions while it is mixing. Stop pouring the flour to the consistency you want it to be. If the dough starts to stick on your hand keep adding more flour.

Blend Em'

After you have met this point, turn the mixer on high for 6 minutes and 6 minutes only! As you can ruin the dough if stopped early. After 6 minutes take the dough out. The dough should be easy to work with.

Chilly Milly

Lightly grease the bowl and cover with towel or plastic wrap and let it rise 1-2 hours.

Looking Good

Lightly grease a 9-inch pie pan. Divide the pizza dough into 20-24 roughly equal sized pieces. You could do this in different shapes big or small. In this picture I did mines big.

Almost There...

Take one of the dough pieces, squish the middle and put 2-3 slices of pepperoni and then a cube of cheese, or approximately 2 tablespoons of shredded cheese. Pull the edges of the dough around the fillings and pinch closed. Place seam-side down in the baking dish. Repeat with the remaining dough pieces.

Yay Finally!

Preheat your oven to 350 F. and bake the pizza bites for 20 minutes. Served warm and well, what everyone says enjoy!
