Some, (Android Users), argue that the iPhone is one of the purest forms of trash. So in this Instructable, I will show you how I turned this broken iPhone into a decoration piece, perfect for any Tech Lovers Office.

First, take the screen of your phone. Because I crushed this in my car door I could just pry it right off. You can just look up a video if you don't know how. Once the screen is separated you can just cut the ribbon cable between the two sides. Next step is to take the battery out. You make be able to pry it out, but if not heat the back of the phone with a hairdryer. This loosens the glue holding the battery in place. This may be all you want to display, but if not take the circuit pieces out to put around the battery. I just pried mine out but if you have a small screwdriver you could get the whole piece.

Placement

Place the pieces of the Phone down in the back of the frame. The frame you choose should have enough space for the pieces to fit. Before gluing down the pieces, glue down a white sheet of paper as a background, this may need to be trimmed. When the pieces are where you want them to, make sure they fit in the frame and glue them in place. Be sure each piece is secure so they are not falling down.

The Final Step

You may want to clean off the frame, especially if you got it from goodwill as I did. Place the back into the frame and make sure everything lines up correctly.

Enjoy

This great project is a great piece to be hung or displayed just about anywhere. It looks great and is a great conversation piece. When somebody asks about it you can say, "I took some Trash, and put it in a Frame." Good Luck.
