Pasta Pizza
Italian's make good food. Really good food. My two favorites, and I think most of America's two favorites, are pizza and pasta. Both are delicous. But the two together? Would it taste good?
The answer is yes. This dish is actually quite good. And what is it, you ask? Well, it is a stuffed-with-cheese crust, vegetarian pizza that has pasta on it. It's Italian food, and by that I mean that it is simply made with good, easy ingrediants (it's very natural). It is surprisingly good, and definitely worth making the next time your feeling Italian food, but can't choose between pizza or pasta.
This recipe makes enough for two small pasta pizzas, enough to feed one really hungry dude, or a couple on a date.

Pizza Dough
Making pizza dough is simple enough that even Homer Simpson could make it (although he would probably call it Pizza D'oh!). First, in a mixing bowl, combine about 1 1/4 cups of the flour with the yeast and the salt. Then, pour in the water and the oil. Beat with a mixer for about 30 seconds on low speed, then kick it into high gear for about 3 minutes. Then, stir in the remaining flour with a wooden spoon.
Next, prepare a surface by cleaning it and covering it lightly with flour. Knead the dough for a bit until you get a nice dough that is smooth and elastic, but kind of stiff. If you want to make two small pizzas, now would be the time to divide the dough into two separtate halves. Then cover the dough for about 10 minutes.

Pasta Time
Now, it's time to make the pasta. Now, if you don't know how to make pasta, I'm sorry for you. I'll explain it anyway, but you neeed to get out more.
To make the noodles, boil water in a pot. Then add the noodles for about 7 minutes. Throw in some salt with the boiling water, too. Trust me, you really don't need a lot of noodles for the recipe; I used about a handful from the box.

Saucy
Next, we have to make the pizza/pasta sauce. Once agian, I like natural, simple stuff that tastes good. You don't need a million ingrediants in your sauce for this to turn out well; I only used a couple.
Also, I'm going through a vegetarian phase, so I choose not to make meatballs with this pizza/pasta. It would probably taste good though, if you are into that sort of thing.
To make the sauce, I got two tomatoes and smooshed them with a wisk. Once it was a nice paste, I added salt, pepper, garlic, onions, and peppers. That's all, folks.

Making It
Now, if you are a fancy chef, or just have a bunch of cool kitchen stuff, you can just use a pizza pan to mold the dough into. I, like many of you out there I'm sure, am a little less fortunate, and had to use a cookie sheet to cook the pizza on. Don't worry though, it works fine. All you have to do is knead the dough out into something that kinda-sorta looks like a circle. Then, grab a pizza cutter or a knife and trim the edges to make it into a circle. Keep the extra dough from the trimmmings, though.
Now for the crust. Did you keep the trimmings? Good, because that is going to be our crust. One might argue that to make the crust all you would have to do is roll/fold up the edges a little bit. Well, you could do it that way if you wanted to be boring about it, but otherwise let's do it my way. Grab some of your favorite cheese, and shred it if it's not already. Then, sprinkle some cheese around the outside of the circle of dough. Then, grab the trimmings of dough, smoosh then together into a ball, and then flatten that badboy out into a long strip of dough. Lay that over the cheese, and then press it down all around the pizza. Now you should have what looks like a pizza, just without all of the stuff.
Now for the stuff. Grab your sauce, and slather that in the center. Next, grab the cooked noodles and neatly (to the best of your abilities) lie them down on top of the sauce. If you are a fan of meatballs, now would be a good time to put those on. Next, grab some more of your favorite cheese, and go crazy. Really, the more cheese the better (to a certain extent).
Finally, heat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Throw it in for about 10-15 minutes, but it's better to just watch it until you see the crust turn a golden brown.
