Paracord Dog Leash (Image Is for Large Dog)

This is a paracord dog leash. The one in the image is for my large dog. Longer ones can be made for shorter dogs or if you just want your dog to have more freedom.

1. 20'+ of Paracord(Depends on the tightness of weave and length of the leash)
2. Scissors
3. Buckle (Most likely a carabiner or other leash clasp)
4. Lighter

Split paracord in half and make a loop around the carabiner. Run the excess paracord through the loop to make a knot.

Make a loop at around 4 feet. I made mine at about 1 foot just for my big dog. This will be your handle. The paracord on the side of the handle without the clasp should be longer than the side with the clasp. If it's not longer then you did something wrong. Try the previous steps again. You made need a longer piece of paracord.

To start, lay the loop on a table or other flat surface. I like to do mine on my lap. Then, take the left-most strand and cross it over the 2 main strands. Put the right strand over the left strand and run it under the 2 main strands into the new loop you just made. Pull it tight then do the opposite for the next step. (Right strand over main 2, left over that, tuck in through loop, and so on.) Do this alternating pattern until you get to the clasp.

Once you get close to your clasp, cut off the ends of your paracord as close to the leash as possible without them slipping through. Heat up the ends and use the scissors to push them onto the leash so that they melt onto it. You're all done now. Go take your dog on a walk!!!
