Paper Cup Lamp
Hello there! :-) Welcome to this paper cup project :-) Paper cups are made of strong paper and have really great light diffusing quality. It's a bit of a waste that they are only useful for a 5 minute drink and get thrown away. Using them for something more durable would be wonderful so here is an idea what you could do with these ordinary cups. Here they are transformed into a lamp that could be a hanging pendant or shine bright on your desk / cabinet. Looks great with power off and on! :-) Enjoy

Marking the Cups
print the template so it's easy for you to see where to mark. Make a small straight line upwards where you made the 5 marks. Use your ruler to make sure every cut is going to be only 1 cm high.

Cut and Fold the Cups
Use your scissors to cut until the mark and use your ruler to make a nice fold. Do this with all 5 sides to create tabs. We need 12 of these cups in total so repeat the previous steps.
Assembling
use your glue gun to assemble all the paper cups as shown in the pictures. It will get quite tricky near the end because of tensions and small space between the cups. Finish the lamp but leave one out for now.
Adding the Light Source
Fix your power cable in the last cup so this one is ready to go. Don't forget the lightbulb because you won't be able to reach it anymore :-). Glue the tabs one by one to finish up the lamp.
Ready!
Ready to shine! beautiful as a hanging pendant or on your cabinet / corner on the floor.
fun fact: this must be the cheapest lamp ever since the cups where like 30 eurocents in total :-)
Enjoy!
